What this site copies from Small Ramsey Numbers

The survey is someone else’s work. This page says exactly what is reproduced here, what is not, and how its author or its journal can have any of it changed or taken down.

What this page copies. From Section 2.1: 72 entries of Table Ia, which between them print 124 numbers — an entry gives either one exact value or a lower and an upper bound — and 50 upper bounds from Table Ib, 50 numbers in all. Beside each, the reference key the survey credits for it, such as [AnM4]. That is everything the table itself reproduces.

What else the repository keeps. The note kept on each attempt to check a bound, whether or not the attempt reached its source and whatever kind of source the survey credits, may also keep, word for word, the survey’s own bibliography entry for that source, in full or in part — 56 of them so far, counted one per reading, so an entry kept in several readings counts each time — so a reader can see which work was checked without going back to the survey. Where the survey’s numbered items explain where a value came from, such a note also quotes the sentence that says so. These live in the audit notes, not on this table.

What is not copied. The survey’s PDF and its text: every other section, its figures, the rest of its commentary, the rest of its bibliography, and any table beyond Section 2.1. A fingerprint of the PDF is kept so a new revision can be detected; the file itself is never stored here or served from here.

No licence is claimed. Small Ramsey Numbers, revision #18 of 24 April 2026, carries no licence permitting republication, and none is assumed here. The survey remains the authority; where this site and the survey disagree, the survey is right and this site has a bug.

Why copy the values at all. A bound and the paper credited for it are the two facts a reader needs to check a citation. This site exists to say whether anyone has actually opened that credited paper, which cannot be said without naming the bound it is about.

When this went up, and when this was written. The table has been public at ramsey.html since 17 September 2026. This disclosure was written on 20 September 2026 — after that, not before. It is an account of a page already public rather than a clearance obtained beforehand, and saying so is part of the disclosure.

How to ask for a change or a removal. The survey’s author, the journal, or anyone acting for either can open a request here. A request to correct or remove this material will be acted on, not argued with: tell us what to take down and it comes down.
